When the computer went out this week I called VW America Customer Service and asked them to send a tow truck to take it to the dealership - thinking they would AT LEAST cover that cost to tow the vehicle in given the now $14,300 worth of engine work that has been required on a vehicle I am still paying for. Now why on earth would I want to do that after the problems I have had with this one and the lack of assistance Volkswagen has demonstrated with regard to these issues? Bear in mind I have meticulously maintained this vehicle AT VW DEALERSHIPS and always used Super Premium Unleaded gasoline.

The sum and total of the assistance they would offer me is a $1000 loyalty voucher if I wanted to trade the vehicle in on a brand new Volkswagen. The repairs I have completed on this car since 2011 include: Intake Manifold, Catalytic Converter, Replacing all ignition coils (TWICE!), Replacing oil pan, Replacing sensor in gas tank, Replace Alternator, Replace oil reservoir, Replace Battery, Tensioner, Timing Belt/Chain, Solenoid valve replacementĪnd, now, at present the car is sitting in front of my house with a complete catastrophic computer failure… a $4300 repair …. Nothing was covered under the extended warranty I purchased nor has Volkswagen been willing to help. Problems with the vehicle started less than 6 months later. It was a certified pre-owned vehicle at the time of it’s purchase.

I purchased my 2010 Volkswagen CC in November 2011.
